How to get to Brighton.
By air.
Brighton is half an hour by rail or by road from Gatwick International airport. The M23 connects Brighton to Gatwick. London - Brighton rail link passes through Gatwick train station.
Heathrow International Airport is on the M25 which connects with the M23 at junction 7. You can take the direct coach to Gatwick or underground to London Victoria and catch a train or coach to Brighton.
BAA
By rail.
From London Victoria - South Central trains run to Brighton throughout the day. From London Bridge - Thameslink trains starting in Hertfordshire pass through the city of London and down to Brighton.
From east and west - South Central trains connect Brighton with Hove, Worthing, Portsmouth, Lewes and Eastbourne.

Getting around.
Buses.
Brighton is very compact so most places can be reached on foot but the public transport system is very good anyway.
There are plenty of bus lanes and on main routes buses arrive every few minutes. There are lots of bus stops in the centre. Most buses are the latest models.

Taxis.
There are lots of taxis and taxi ranks in the city centre. You can hail taxis on the street and they are available 24 hours a day.

Cycling.
A network of cycle lanes makes cycling quick and safe. There are bike racks situated conveniently throughout the centre. It's possible to hire a bike all year round.

Car rental.
Get mobile and travel where you want the way you want.
You don't have to wait in long queues and can spend more time exploring Brighton's attractions or doing your business. Rent a car and drive yourself instead of travelling by train, bus or couch.
